Out hustle, out last and out GRASS the competition with Barenbrug SOS 400 RYE GRASS SEEDS. Now available at J&J Nursery and Madison Gardens Nursery in Spring, TX!
Barenbrug SOS TurfAnnuals provide economy, turf quality, transition and solutions to challenging conditions. SOS 400 is great for planting grass seeds during Texas’ cooler fall and winter months.
Practice winning every day with excellent grass fields during winter and early spring practice and play.
Compared to many higher priced grasses, SOS has faster establishment, superior predictable spring transition and is affordable.
The seeds germinate with soil temps in the mid-40’s F. This allows for successful overseeding results for late season renovation after the end of playing seasons. Late season renovation provides protection for winter and early spring.
SUGGESTED OVERSEEDING RATES:

Unforunately, turf that’s been under water more than 4 days, especially in hot weather, is likely a loss.
Follow the instructions below to salvage your lawn or reinstall grass.
1. Remove debris – nails, wooden pieces, muck(sediment), etc.
2. Decide whether to repair or resod. If your lawn is under 3 or more inches of soil/sediment, resod/replant your grass. With more than 2 inches of soil, recovery is unlikely.
Resod your lawn
Remove as much deposited soil as possible. You can also rototill the deposited soil and original lawn soil until well mixed. Level and firm the mixed soil, water with a mixture of Root Stimulator, then resod or seed the grass. We carry sod, rye grass seeds and root stimulator.
* Check for new shoots emerging from the soil or the emergence of new shoots from surviving plants to assess damage.
